I've returned from an inspiring week of inspiration and community. I want to thank Kristen and Rusty Fulton for making this week special for all the attendees. A shout out to Jackie Wellington for all her help, too. Besides beautiful scenery, the lodge offered 3 meals a day filled with a selection for all diets. If you would like to attend the retreat in 2016, please check out www.weekofwritingretreat.com.

Sudipta and Kami are back with guests bloggers to help get those mss rolling. This is a free school with fantastic webinars. The two ladies have already had the first webinar and school hasn't started-LOL This is a fun experience to help get the most out of your summer. Stop by and register today!
I recently attended Jodell Sadler's pacing course. She gives excellent tools to make your manuscript sing with words, rhyme, and pacing skills. She gives four critiques within the course so you walk away with a strong footing for your story. Included in the course are examples of what books are succeeding in the publishing world. These are fine examples to use as mentor texts. Considerate and attentive to your needs, she helps guide you with the expertise of a writer, artist and agent. You can check out the course here:
Jodell Sadler launches Kidlit College with webinars and workshops to help writers of all book genres. Illustrators have been included. Don't miss out on these events which answer your questions and address those issues which plague writers and illustrators as they work their way through the business of writing and illustrating. Catch a fun experience by clicking on the button.
Angie Karcher's RhyPiBoMo is back for a second year-Go Angie! Angie has lined up guest bloggers for a month of rhyming and rhythm to sing the whole month long. Registration for this event opens March 18 through April 8. You can register at Angiekarcher.wordpress.com. There will be prizes and surprises to delight the poetic heart. I hope to see you there!
I've joined Julie Hedland's 12x12 for 2015 and what a journey. There are three package offerings and each holds different levels of opportunities. I am amazed at all the resources available, such as, webinars, free tips and advice, critique groups and many more open avenues for discussion. The challenge has folks representing writing and illustration-something for everyone. The challenge is to write a picture book a month for 12 months. Are you up for it? At the end of each month, if you have written or revised an ms, you can enter a rafflecopter for that months free prize. Head on over to 12x12challenge.com to get more details. Hope to see you there!

Reward yourself by perfecting those old mss laying around gathering dust. Come join a wonderful group of like-minded people-it's an adventure :)
